General Derby Information
Intermediate split times from the J45 Derby are available below
Intermediate times are commonly taken in speed events and
televised high-level races, but SRRC thought you might find them
interesting for the Derby. The intermediate times on this report
indicate the time it took the racer to get from the start to the Nastar
start shack at the bottom of the Exhibition headwall, and the time
it takes from the Nastar start to the finish. The times were taken by
a course monitor pressing a plunger button each time that a racer
passed a specified gate pole, similar to hand timing at the finish. It is
possible a time might have been missed if this volunteer was busy
with other duties.
Intermediate times are for information and education only. They are not
official and are not used in any way to time the run or score the race.
